WE Rise Accelerator 2022 is a 6-month program for women entrepreneurs in the Philippines to become investment-ready and access financing through hands- on learning activities, customized mentorship, and tailored leadership coaching. The program will support 10 amazing women-led enterprises by providing them with extensive and personalized support to grow their business.

The program will support 10 women-led enterprises to strengthen their business models, firm up their financial systems, and guide them in scaling their business and accessing the right capital for growth. 

The program will be run from October 2022 to March 2023.

The WE Rise Accelerator 2022  is exclusively developed by Villgro Philippines in partnership with The Sasakawa Peace Foundation.

MEET THE COHORT

Anihan Technologies is a B2B AgriTech startup that leverages deep tech to develop supply chain solutions that reduce food loss in Asia and help build competitive agri-value chains. AniTech ensures fresh crops are grown and stored consistently through a sensor system that monitors the temperature, humidity, oxygen, and carbon dioxide. This can be installed in any greenhouse, warehouse, or grow room, enabling the reduction of on-site visits and encouraging optimal storage conditions.

Coffee for Peace is a social enterprise that provides green coffee bean supply to pop-up cafes and international roasters, and empowers farmers with technology and tools to launch their own brands. The enterprise was launched in 2008 as an Income Generating Program of the PeaceBuilders Community, Inc. Their goal is to empower farmers, protect the environment, and promote the message of peace. Within the next year, the team will expand their operations to buy their own land and establish their own coffee supply. Moreover, the founder is keen to explore other solutions to coffee waste.

Everything Green, on top of producing lifestyle and home goods for the HRI industry, does consultancy services, specifically on the topics of product development, environmental and sustainable operations management, sustainable and ethical fashion, and environment and natural resources management. The main target of these services are government agencies and sustainability-focused businesses that want to integrate more eco-practices into their operations.

Filipina Homebased Moms (FHMoms) – started as a Facebook community group and now operating on its own platform – is the first and the biggest freelancing, parenting, and entrepreneurship support group for Filipino mothers. FHMoms initiates different projects that benefit the community, such as training webinars, scholarships, learning events, social activities, and assistance programs.

IRentMo is an ecommerce platform that offers gadgets, electronic transports, and other essentials for work and study with flexible payment options. Reinforcing the “Buy Now, Pay Later” scheme for purchases, IRentMo allows more people to get access to higher-value products without paying the full amount at once. Aside from product selling, IRentMo also offers product rentals of laptops and bikes, among others.

Lily of the Valley creates purposeful, comfortable, functional, and smarter innerwear and loungewear for everyone at all life stages. The Lilies – what they call their products – are designed to be worn through life changes like puberty, pregnancy, motherhood, and transitions. The brand promotes gender empowerment by offering products that cut across all genders; sustainability by creating products with recycled paper or fabric packaging, natural and minimal synthetic materials, and on a per-need, small scale basis; and sustainable development by employing fair labor practices and choosing beneficiaries among the marginalized sectors around and outside Metro Manila.

Mori Creations is a women-owned social enterprise that designs and creates innovative, multi-functional storage solutions. The company collaborates with artists and crafters from different backgrounds to make distinct, stylish, and functional products. Many of these are handmade by women in their homes, created with the modern lady in mind.

MOSS (Modern Sustainable Solutions) provides sustainable innovations that are better for the planet, beginning with compostable food packaging, an alternative to single-use plastics. By doing so, MOSS encourages a circular economy within the hotel, restaurant, and food industries.

MOSS food packaging is made up of molded fiber or compostable agricultural waste – specifically sugarcane bagasse, or the agricultural waste from the sugarcane industry. Bagasse is biodegradable and certified compostable in 108 days. This packaging is imported from reputable sources in the US, China, and India. MOSS is the exclusive distributor of the leak-proof bagasse packaging in the Philippines.

Panublix is a collaborative sourcing platform connecting designers and brands with Philippine tropical yarns, handloom textiles, and artisan craft co-created with nature and cultural heritage (panubli-on). Based in Iloilo City, Panublix provides digital economy support to rural artisan enterprises, especially weavers who keep local textile heritage alive. With the Philippines’ rich biodiversity and culture, Panublix is building towards a vision of a thriving Philippine tropical textile and artisan craft economy by 2030 – a future that respects culture, community, and biodiversity.

Pieza is a website and mobile application where car owners and motorists have an easy access to car parts and services, bringing the world of automotive parts into one ecosystem. They offer a one-stop-shop for motorists with a personalized shopping experience and features an integration with service center partners such as Shell Service Station. With just one tap, customers may access all the how-tos, products, and services within the comfort of their homes, while simultaneously easing the burden of vendors in managing their businesses and customers.
